When you experience pain or a dental issue that requires urgent attention between check-ups, we perform a “Limited, Problem-Focused Exam.” Our emergency dentistry exam seeks to get to the root of the problem as efficiently as possible. We focus on solving the issue as well as minimizing your discomfort. Relieving pain is our top priority.

A dental emergency is a problem that requires immediate attention. In addition to the discomfort that signals an issue in the beginning, it can get more complicated and painful the longer it goes without treatment.

Situations requiring emergency dentistry include but are not limited to:

  • A sudden, severe toothache
  • Badly cracking a tooth
  • Knocking out a tooth completely
  • A loose or partially knocked-out permanent tooth
  • One or more dental abscesses
  • Losing or breaking a dental restoration

Check out Cleveland Clinic’s full article about dental emergencies for details about the listed situations and how you can alleviate the pain temporarily before your visit.
