Why People Prefer Invisalign
There are many reasons why people choose Invisalign or Clear Aligner Therapy over traditional braces. Some of the key reasons are as follows:
Comfort
Plastic aligners are made of smooth material that molds to your teeth, creating less friction between your teeth and gums.
Removal
You can carry on with your normal eating and cleaning routines because the aligners are removable.
Appearance
Because they are transparent and fit snugly to your teeth, clear aligners are practically unnoticeable.
What is Clear Aligner Therapy?
Made of a clear, flexible material, orthodontic aligners are comfortable, virtually invisible, and removable, making them a popular choice for adults and teens seeking a more discreet approach to straightening their teeth.
How Do Clear Aligners Work?
We use a series of custom-made aligner trays to gradually shift your teeth into place. Each tray is designed to move just one tooth or one section of teeth at a time. The process goes as follows:
- We take a complete digital scan of your teeth.
- After reviewing the scan, we come up with a treatment plan to make shifting the position of your teeth as smooth as possible.
- Based on the scan and treatment plan, we create the first of a series of plastic aligners. We make sure that the fit is right, and we talk you through care instructions to make sure you are confident about starting your treatment.
- We will plan to meet with you intermittently to update your aligners with regular check ups.

Caring for Your Aligners
Aligners should be worn for 20-22 hours per day. They should only be removed for cleaning, eating and drinking. To clean your aligners, simply brush and rinse them each time you brush your teeth.
Treatment Time
Treatment time typically falls within the range of 6-36 months. Some patients may also benefit from wearing a retainer after treatment is complete to prevent regression. This will all be discussed as part of your overall treatment plan.
Treating a Variety of Orthodontic Issues
Invisalign can effectively treat a range of orthodontic issues, including:
- Crowded Teeth: Aligners create space by gradually shifting teeth.
- Gaps Between Teeth: Close gaps to improve both function and appearance.
- Overbite/Underbite: Correct bite issues for a healthier smile.
- Crossbite: Align your bite for better chewing and oral health.
