Basic Oral Care Tips

Brush your teeth 2 times per day

  • Use fluoride toothpaste
  • Angle your brush bristles toward your gumline
  • Brush all sides of each tooth
  • Brush your tongue

Floss 1 time per day

  • A toothbrush does not clean in between the teeth, so it can’t get to all the nooks and crannies that accumulate plaque and food
  • Floss removes the buildup between your teeth to keep your teeth and gums healthy

Attend regular dental appointments

  • Plan to stop in at least every 6 months
  • Patients at higher risk for tooth decay and gum disease may need more frequent appointments
